Barbara Coloroso is an internationally renowned expert and best-selling author on the subjects of parenting, teaching discipline, bullying, and conflict resolution.

She is the next speaker in the Parents as Career Coaches lecture series, and she’ll be in Sudbury and Little Current talking about how to help your children manage transitions in their lives – from elementary school to high school, and from high school to college.

The Learning Disabilities Association of Sudbury and the City of Greater Sudbury are proud to present an evening with Barbra Coloroso!

An evening packed with solid practical advice for parents and educators of children from toddlers to teenagers, that shows how to create an environment in which children can become self-disciplined, compassionate, responsible, resourceful, resilient human beings who can act in their own best interest, stand up for themselves and exercise their own rights while respecting the rights and legitimate needs of others. Barbara will discuss the keys to good parenting/teaching: treating kids with respect; giving them a sense of positive power in their own lives; giving them opportunities to make decisions, take responsibility for their actions and learn from their successes and mistakes.
